ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW The Financial Systemic Analysis and Resiliency Center’s (FSARC) is a member driven organization whose mission is to proactively identify, analyze, assess, and coordinate activities to mitigate systemic risk to the U.S. financial system from current and emerging cyber security threats through focused operations and enhanced collaboration between participating firms, industry partners, and the U.S. Government. POSITION SUMMARY The FSARC is seeking a Member Engagement Manager to develop and implement our membership engagement strategy. As a member driven organization, all efforts are accomplished through the deep partnering and collaboration of our member firms. This position requires a candidate who can develop discrete assessments of each member’s goals / problems and help the FSARC define how the community will contribute to either solving the problems or accomplishing the goals within the context of our defined mission set. The selected candidate will build an effective member engagement strategy unique to the FSARC that helps deliver the required mission outcomes. The manager will work with the operational directors in the execution of that strategy. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Develop and implement an effective communication strategy to promote FSARC programs, initiatives, operations, decisions, and accomplishments, tailoring strategy to the unique FSARC subject matter experts and stakeholders • Ensure teams are effectively communicating and collaborating with the member firms on various FSARC initiatives, coordinated across existing workstreams. • Provides consultation, advice, and assistance to the FSARC Directors as needed to help formulate FSARC communications, establishing a clear communication plan for articulating the work of the FSARC and how it relates to other sector efforts. • Develops communications, talking points, briefing materials, and general engagement materials for member firms, US Government partners, and the broader financial sector as appropriate • Develop and implement a metrics program to measure effectiveness of the communications strategy • Work to build direct relationships with member firms and ensure a consistent, customer-focused approach on membership engagement. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Competency Statement(s). To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: • Minimally an undergraduate degree with 5+ years of member engagement, communications or relevant private sector experience • Demonstrated experience in project management • Knowledge of communications standards and techniques, and the ability to develop effective plans utilizing all aspects of a strong communications program • Knowledge of and ability to manage programs, people, and resources for effective communications with the FSARC and its partners • Ability to build interpersonal relationships and a strong customer-service focused approach • Knowledge of community and member relations strategies, principles and techniques to help generate community interest and engage community support and participation in FSARC initiatives and operations • Demonstrated experience in critical and strategic thinking • Excellent written, interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills • Ability to communicate (verbal and written) with executives and stakeholders in non-technical terms while accurately encompassing risk, impact, likelihood, containment and remediation activities, and threat actor techniques, tactics and procedures • Strong collaboration, negotiation and mediation skills among internal and external stakeholders • Possess a high degree of initiative, motivation, and problem-solving skills Education and Certifications Undergraduate or Graduate degree Other Desired Experience • Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in strategic and tactical internal and external communication management • Account or relationship management experience Technology Applications • Standard office software applications Office Location: Arlington, VA Travel Required: Some WORK ENVIRONMENT This position is performed in an office work environment with physical demands associated with that environment.
