The American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) is currently searching for a Director of Member Services and Chapter Relations, and this may be the new opportunity that builds on your professional achievements and takes to next level!
The Director of Membership and Chapter Relations is responsible for leading the development and execution of the Association’s member recruitment and retention strategies. This role will also oversee and direct efforts to strengthen the relationship of AADE with its Member Affiliate groups and cultivate a framework for member engagement and experience across the Association.
Partners with Marketing and other Departments to ensure development of products that address changing market needs, supports membership growth, and enhances member value.
Directs and steers a vibrant volunteer outreach program and presence on AADE’s website that provides clear information on how to get involved and volunteer for AADE.
Provides oversight and direction to the ongoing development, expansion, and optimization of the member community on MY AADE NETWORK.
Directs volunteer and leadership training events and activities.
Will explore and assess new markets based on organizational vision and strategic plan.
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in related field.
Previous management experience in professional membership association required, 5-7+ years preferred.
Extensive knowledge of association management, membership retention and recruitment, and working with component groups.
Strategic thinker who can develop plans that address member and volunteer engagement.
Technical proficiency with database skills; experience in effective use of web and social media tools.
Prior experience in a healthcare association a plus.
