The Education/Events Manager is responsible for creating, managing, and executing innovative internal and member event programs for the the Massachusetts Association of Realtors, a 24,000 member trade Association in Waltham.
Duties include management of the Annual Conference, Leadership events, Board of Director meetings, Education classes and Webinars. Manager will also oversee staff related to education/events duties in the Members Services Department.
Principal Duties and Essential Functions
Manage education classes including Association Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) program.
Manage all event and education budgets.
Research and book locations and speakers for webinars, live classes and seminars.
Manage execution of annual conference, installation of officers and awards dinner including budgeting, location selection, course and speaker lineup and event planning.
Negotiate and approves contracts and invoices with hotels, event speakers, venues, and printers within budget guidelines.
Evaluate all major events against objectives; recommend areas of improvement
Act as liaison to committees relative to education and various events.
Assist governance staff in securing locations/accommodations for meetings and events.
Plan and execute special events/outings for association staff
Performs any other function or responsibility as assigned.
Travels to other locations to perform job functions as needed.
Excellent interpersonal, research, negotiation, organization and time management skills
Experience with computer systems, including the internet and some Microsoft Office applications which include Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Intermediate to Advanced level Excel skills preferred.
Ability to summarize and communicate in English moderately complex information in varied written formats to internal and external customers.
