ASIS International, the world's largest membership organization for security management professionals, is seeking a creative, out-of-the-box, strategic leader to serve as Marketing Director for our portfolio of industry-leading global events and tradeshows.
The Marketing Director will focus on innovating and leading the strategic development and tactical implementation of all marketing campaigns for Global Security Exchange (GSX)—a top 100 show with 250,000+ net square feet of exhibit space, 550+ vendors, and 20,000+ attendees—along with the CSO Summit, and SecurityXchange to achieve defined budget/attendance goals. In addition, this individual will be a key player in reexamining ASIS global event growth initiatives.
This position will design campaigns to elevate awareness of each event, increase attendee registrations, and promote the benefits of exhibiting and sponsorship value to industry partners. Additional responsibilities include researching and analyzing conference data, competitive intelligence, and industry information to identify trends/opportunities. The Marketing Director will develop messaging platforms, brand guidelines, promotional copy, and web content, as well as seek out new technologies and innovative ideas that spur growth across the portfolio. This role is also responsible for creating partnerships with media outlets and security-related associations in key markets/industries that tap into new audiences for attendees/exhibitors/sponsors and enhance promotional opportunities for our event programs.
The position requires a bachelor's degree with 10+ years’ experience in a strategic marketing position. Must have demonstrated success promoting a large trade show across different audiences, preferably in an association or security related environment. Successful candidates will have experience in developing and executing multiple, integrated cross-channel campaigns to meet marketing objectives.
Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Must have a strong proficiency in digital marketing strategies, best practices and campaign analytics. Strong copywriting/editing, budget management, decision making, and analytical skills. Must possess proficiency with social media, email deployment systems, database management, and list selection/segmentation. Google Analytics, SEO/SEM competency. Experience using NetForum, Episerver and/or Salesforce, marketing cloud experience is a plus.
