The Association of State Dam Safety Officials is seeking qualified applicants for the position of training and education manager/peer review manager.
Position responsibilities include the development and management of all continuing education courses and conference educational programs for ASDSO members and those in the larger dam safety engineering community; development and management of education programs for the dam owning community; and, oversight of the dam safety peer review program. Responsible for supporting and providing leadership to the committees and task groups that oversee conference technical program planning, technical training, owner education and peer review. May be responsible for future certification/credentialing program.
Experience in adult education preferred.
At least two years’ experience with an association management company or organization preferred.
Must be willing and able to travel to domestic and international events as required.
Professional demeanor and presentation of self.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent program management and organizational skills.
Experience working with high-level volunteers and VIPs.
Ability to set appropriate priorities and manage multiple tasks to meet firm deadlines.
Must be accurate and conscientious with exceptional attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe products.
